ATi's R500 technology (the sucessor to the X800 family) will be ready by Q1 2005, specifically for the Xbox 2 platform. At the moment dev kits only reach 10 fps, which means that if a game needs to run at 60 fps, the R500 will be 6 times more powerful than the dev kits they have right now.
