With $893 million you can build a supercomputer that will run at 10 petaflops (10 quadrillion calculations per second). And Japan is planning on building one, to simulate the formation of galaxies, interactions between medicine and the human body and...to beat Big Blue.

In early August AMD will be lower their prices on the Semprons. The Sempron 2500+ will drop as much as $7(US). AMD is also planning to release their dual-core Athlon 64 X2 processor as a price of $345 .
