Once the release of 3Dmark05 arrived, ATI came out with their new Catalyst 4.10. The driver is also called 8.07 and it fixed the memory allocation problem for all of its 256MB cards. Woohoo! Download it and test out your card on 3Dmark05.

ATi's R500 technology (the sucessor to the X800 family) will be ready by Q1 2005, specifically for the Xbox 2 platform. At the moment dev kits only reach 10 fps, which means that if a game needs to run at 60 fps, the R500 will be 6 times more powerful than the dev kits they have right now.
