In an interesting turn of events, AMD will supposedly follow Intel's lead and use a model numbering system for the Athlon 64 line. Although it is interesting to note that AMD's markings are 1 step higher than what they are now. Confused? Read on.

Hitachi has announced a more reliable 40 gig notebook hard drive that will go at 4200 rpm, the 4k40. Whether consumers are willing to pay for a slower but more reliable hard drive is up for debate.

Asus has developed a Wi-Fi hard drive system and is expected to start shipping in May. These flying hard disks contain an 802.11g adaptor and antenna and pair of wired 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports. It is capable of holding any 2.5inch ATA-100 hard disk and is expected to cost about $150 (minus the hard drive).
