The 'Thorton' CPU from AMD (a hybrid Barton with the amount of cache in a Thoroughbred) apparently has 256 kb of cahce lying without being used. FInd out how to unlock it. Check x-bit labs for more details!

Over at Virtual Zone there's an example of taking overclocking to the extreme. In this case, they used dry ice to overclock a Athlon FX 2.2 ghz to over 3 ghz!

Neoseeker has posted a tech brief on the new RADEON XT cards that were announced today. Check this out:

The Radeon 9800 XT will come with a core clock of 412 mhz, compared to the 380 on the Radeon 9800 Pro. It will also come with 256 megabytes of RAM running at 712 mhz on a 256-bit memory bus, which is marginally higher than 680 mhz on the Radeon 9800 Pro. Although these increases look marginal, ATi has stated that the XT is more overclockable. Whether this is true or not is up in the air for now.
