Setting Up The Server

Grab the server file from here if you have not already done so.

For the setup I would recommend going with the setting shown in the screen shot-

Install as a Service, started manually

Unless you want the FTP server to be always running I would suggest the start manually option. Turning the FTP server on and off is a snap.

Port

The default server interface port is sufficient unless you have some specific reason as to why it should not be used

Start Manually

The Server Interface gets somewhat annoying if it pops up every time Windows is rebooted. My recommendation is to leave it as start manually as users are not likely to fart around with the configuration every reboot

The check boxes should be checked off so that the server can be configured after the setup.
